This two-song demo recording was the first release by Joe Kastane, uploaded to SoundCloud on the 2nd of March 2026. The two songs featured are Wormwood, a melancholic ballad inspired by late 19th-century Bohemianism, and The Adversary which flips between eerie cleans and a heavy riff – this track was inspired by Satan and his reputation, though the version featured here is instrumental.

The tracks are very rough around the edges, featuring MIDI bass and drums in both songs and the latter not including vocals, but this demo basically acts as a proof of concept to be built upon by subsequent releases from the Joe Kastane project.
